Shari Louise comes from a long line of designers and Artists.

Her Father Donald Powell is presently working on Australia’s finest Cathedral, St Marys in Sydney. Her Uncle was responsible for the WORLDS Landscaping at World Expo Brisbane 1988.

It is hardly surprising then that Shari Louise family history and upbringing has contributed so greatly to her career. Her motto in life has always been to live outside the box, she believes all things are possible, and never shies from a challenge.

She has been privileged in life to work with fine Artists from a young age.  She has travelled extensively, and has been encouraged always to follow her heart. In business she has been protégé, coached , and mentored by very successful business  owners. She has managed, and designed alongside and for some of the greatest artists and designers of this time. She has a natural talent in networking with people from all walks of life, and feels linking people is the first stage in helping one another.

Shari Louise ultimately chose Jewellery as her medium to work with in the arts. Her skills  and study always being in the fine arts , particularly sketching , were honed by studying under a well respected  German Jeweller all the facets required in the manufacture of Jewellery.

When creating a new piece  of Jewellery , it begins with an inspiration .Shari starts from a collection of sketches and she than  works with the precious metals and gems. Gold and Silver  and precious gems have always spoken to her, so as a piece takes form , it may change dramatically from the sketch . The gold may want to swirl around a pearl , and yet the design may have started with a rectangle. So long as the original story is told through the piece.

The direction in her business has always been to create ,”one of a kind ,”Jewellery for customers. Customers who become long term friends and clients.

Her Jewellery emporium which presently is at the Stamford Plaza Hotel in Brisbane City, in the heritage listed port office Building. The emporium has a coffee shop which her husband runs , where her clients feel at ease to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings, and upstairs  is the fine dining restaurant and one of Brisbane’s  most notable Bars, with its timeless interior.

From here beautiful elegant events that capture ones imagination are held regularly to showcase  the new collections made here. Recently Shari has showcased along with her collection Alessio Boschi, the exclusive designer for AUTORE south Sea Pearls. AUTORE have always been Pearl suppliers for Shari as their farms produce the most beautiful pearls in the world. Shari not only holds these events in her Emporium , but also travels far and wide to bring these world class designs to everyone who wants to experience a bit of magic.
